2008 Trip Schedule

September 29 - October 3, 2008: A Fall Foliage Tour to Cape Cod
Offered in partnership with Grand American Tours and Cruises, this five-day, four-night trip includes
roundtrip motorcoach transportation, eight full meals, a welcome reception, a guided tour to
Provincetown along historic route 6A, guided tours of Sandwich and Falmouth, and admission to the
Sandwich Glass Museum. Participants will also enjoy a guided tour of Hyannis Christmas Tree Shop
and John F. Kennedy Museum, and plenty of free time and shopping. Meal/room taxes and meal
gratuities included.
 
Price: $550.00 Per Person/Double Occupancy

Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008: Ethnic New York (Chinatown, Little Italy and Irish Five Points)
Trip includes guided tours of the above shoulder-to-shoulder neighborhoods that piece together the
different stories of immigration from outside tensions to economic prosperity. Soak up the stories of
the Sportin' Men and Hot Corn Girls of the early 1800's - birth of the urban street culture. Absorb the
grime and grit of New York's original gangs - the Dead Rabbits and the Bowery B'hoys. Make your
way into America's most vibrant Chinatown and delight in the smells, sounds, and sights of Peking
duck windows, fish stalls, and herb markets. Cross Canal Street into Little Italy and understand the
struggles of old village customs in the new world. Motorcoach transportation, luncheon, meal
gratuities, guide services and taxes are all included.
 
Departs 7:00am and returns approximately 8:00pm.

Saturday, December 6, 2008: Peddler's Village Christmas Festival, Lahaska, PA
Get in the holiday spirit! Do a little shopping and enjoy the festive atmosphere as Santa arrives in a
horse-drawn carriage. The village will be beautifully decorated, Victorian style, with fruit wreaths and
greenery. Also, shoppers may want to visit the Village's outlet stores (Osh Kosh, Bass, Calvin Klein,
etc.).
The MN Recreation school bus departs at 8:30am and will return at approximately  5:00pm.

Saturday, December 13, 2008: Christmas in Chocolatetown, Hershey PA
Includes guided motorcoach tour of Hershey and admission to Chocolate World and Hersheypark's
Christmas Candylane where there is something for everyone to enjoy. Christmas Candylane features
many attractions for guests of all ages including over 30 rides, Hershey's product characters decked
out in their holiday best. Santa and his reindeer, a Christmas show and quaint village shops to browse
for unique gift ideas. End the day by driving through the two-mile Sweet Lights display illuminated by
over one million lights.
 
Trip departs at 9:00am and returns by 8:00pm.
